Childcare at Birmingham YMCA is different to most day care facilities as we offer a range of flexible times and sessions to meet the needs of our local community, and charges which reflect this.

All of our facilities offer the best quality childcare, meeting the individual needs of each child. We strongly believe children learn
best through play and first hand experiences.

Our dedicated staff team enhance each child’s play experience ensuring that all our children reach their full potential. We currently offer full day care at three sites.

• Sunshine Day Nursery

  Open from 8.00am till 6pm caring for children 3months to 5 years.

  We also have a Nursery Class for 3 & 4 year olds for grant funded sessions and an out of school club which operates 7.30 till 8.45 and 3pm till 5.40pm.

  Open from 7.30am until 6pm and caterers for children from 12 months – 5 years.

• St. James Day Nursery

  Operates within St. James Church, Handsworth and offers free childcare sessions for all 3 and 4 year olds.
