Resident Support and Development Manager

I have been working in the social sector for 18 years gaining my Social Work Qualification in 1995.

I have worked in both the statutory and voluntary sectors and have gained a wide skill base.

I started working at Birmingham YMCA in early 2002, initially as a support officer, becoming a senior support officer soon afterwards.

I later took the position of hostel manager at Erdington, but as the support department developed and YMCA restructured I was promoted to Resident Support and Development Manager across all sites, in 2006, a role that I am finding enjoyable yet rewarding.

2007 will bring new challenges for both me and the support department but I feel confident that we will rise and meet each one.
